CN113684167B. Genetically engineered microorganisms for the production of chorismate derivatives
"Codon optimization" refers to the mutation of a nucleic acid (e.g., gene) that is used to optimize or enhance nucleic acid translation in a particular strain or species. Codon optimization may lead to faster translation rates or higher translation accuracy. In a preferred embodiment, the genes of the invention are codon-optimized for expression in Clostridium, in particular Clostridium autoethanogenum, clostridium immortalized or Clostridium radwell. In another preferred embodiment, the gene of the invention is codon optimized for expression in clostridium autoethanogenum LZ1561 (registered under DSMZ accession No. DSM 23693).
